Description
Potassium persulfate is white crystalline, odourless powder, the density of 2.477. It can be decomposed about 100 centigrade and dissolved in the water not in ethanol, and has strong oxidation. It is used to produce detonator, bleacher, oxidant and initiator for the Polymerization. It has the particular advantage of being almost non-hygroscopic, of having a good storage stability in normal temperature and of being easy and safe to handle.
Application:
1. Used as desizing agent and bleaching activaiting agent.
2. Used in oxidation degradation of harmful matters in water pool and closed recirculated water system.
3. Used as modification agent in the production of starch, also used in adhesiveand coating
N production.
4. Used in the oxidation of branched chain, the hydroxyl oxidation of alcohol and aromatic
compounds.
5. Used as one of the basic ingredients in hair dye, with decoloring action.
