More than 90% Silicochromium alloy is used as reducing agent in melting medium carbon ferrochromium, low-carbon ferrochromium and micro-carbon ferrochrome in electro-silicothermic process. In addition, Silicochromium alloy can also be used as deoxidier and alloying agent in steelmaking.
