DEAE cellulose is diethyl aminoethyl cellulose. It is a kind of anion exchanger, fibrous or granular. As the column chromatography separation material, its exchange groups is -O-CH₂-CH₂-N(C₂H₅)₂ and it is one of the most widely used in ion exchange cellulose.It is of  high stability, Large adsorption capacity, fast speed, easy to elution and separation ability, etc. It is often used in separation of  neutral and acidic proteins, polysaccharides, nucleic acids and other substances. Also used for plant extract.
