Corrosion Inhibitor ST-A6200

Abstract

ST-A6200 is a liquid material specially designed to inhibit hydrochloric acid flushing solution from attack on steel and stainless steel in paper mills. Since ST-A6200 contains high molecular weight amine and anti-corrosion materials, it can maintain its anti-corrosion performance for a long time even under the existence of hydrogen sulfide during flushing operation.

Anti-corrosion Mechanism

In general, corrosion on metals in acidic solution proceeds electrochemically as follows:

Fe-→Fe2++2e-                   Anodic Reaction

2H++2e-→H2                    Cathode Reaction

The corrosive reaction can be controlled by suppression of either the anodic or cathode reaction, or both. ST-A6200 forms the adsorption membrane on metal surface. The membrane performs good anti-corrosive effects because it controls anodic and cathode reactions.

Usage

Concentration: 3% by weight of water.

Temperature: Room Temperature

Method: When preparing the hydrochloric acid flushing solution, fill the calculated amount of water in the preparation tank and then add ST-A6200 at 3% by weight of the working solution (water + HCl). Finally add the calculated amount of hydrochloric acid in it and agitate the mixture completely.

Notice: It is used by circular cleaning system at room temperatures. After the acid flushing operation, drain off the used solution to rinse with water or neutralize it with an alkaline product. Keep out of reach of children.
