A285 Grade A Specification : 
A285 Grade A is a kind of common carbon steel, whose tensile is low or mid-low. There are three grades or levels material GR A/B/C in the standard ASTM A-285/A-285M. Plates ordered to this specification A 285 GRA are normally in the as-rolled condition. A285 Grade A may be ordered from the supplier as normalized or stress relieved if so desired. The alloy A285 Grade A is not heat treated for hardening.
