BATCH TYPE VEGETABLE OIL REFINERY PLANT CAPACITY:  10 Tons oil and 20 Tons Oil Per day/24 Hour

In batch oil refinery process or cooking oil refinery process, a measured quantity of oils is processed in sequence of neutralizing, bleaching & deodorizing.

For plants capacity from 10to 20 tons per day, batch process is recommended being low cost and easy to operate.

Crude oil obtained from expellers or solvent extraction plant contains foreign impuriti

es such as mucilage, gums, coloured & unfiltered matter from the seed. Also Free Fatty Acids (F.F.A.) which tend to deteriorate the oil on storage, thus making it unfit for edible purpose. The batch refining process consists of following section :

  • Neutralizing / Degumming

  • Bleaching Section
  • Deodorizing Section.

First Stage of Refining is to Remove Free Fatty Acids(F.F.A.) wih caustic Soda Treatment called Neutralizing Process Thereafter further processed in the bleaching section under vacuum and treated with bleaching earth and activated carbon for removing colour .Finally it will be Deodorized under high vacuum and high temperature to remove the odour from the oil. The Edible obtained in a batch refinery is of good quality meeting all

requirement
of International Standard. However in case of Sunflower and rice bran oil, there is one more process of Dewaxing after bleaching Process.

The equipment involved are Neutralizer, Bleacher, Deodorizer, Heat Exchanger, High & low vacuum equipment & Filters. Shreeji plant with batch process have been operating at number of places, processing variety of vegetable oils.
