Low-pressure die casting is a process in which molten metal is transported from a holding furnace via a riser tube into a mould. Riser tube is the critical part of the process.

During traditional production, steel riser tube can not satisfy the requirements of continuous production and high quality, so aluminium titanate becomes ideal material of riser tube due to its low thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal shock resistance and no wetting by molten metal.
