Property: Colorless crystal or white powder; it is provided with violet fluorecence in the light; odorless; relative density 3.148; M.P.: 1261°C; boiling point:2239°C, soluble in nitric acid, slightly soluble in diluted acid, hardly soluble in water and alcohol; its crystal is provided with good polarization, especially fit for reagent with violet and infrared light spectrum; toxic.

Use: Used as fluxing agent for smelting metal magnesium, the additive for eletrolysizing aluminum, also applied to enamels and glass industry, reagent for optical spectrum, and electronic industry.
