Bent Laminated Glass

Bent Laminated glass is a combined glass composed of two or more pieces of glass which are bonded firmly with SGP, PVB,EVA and PU interlayer. With different Tint interlayer films, those base-glass can compose of nice glass at bent shape.

Laminated glass is characterized by excellent shock resistance and penetration resistance. When it is hit,it generally will not be penetrated by the external impactors, and the glass splinters will not fly away from the interlayer. That is why it is also called security glass.

Our products can be widely applied to Curtain Wall, Partition Wall, Balusters, Door & Window, Shower Room, Awnings, daylight Roof, Staircase, Counters, Interior Decoration, Hotels, Banks, Airports, Furniture, Military Facilities and other industries and fields.

Technical and Quality Standards:

Complying with Chinese GB 15763.3-2009;American ANSI Z97.1-2004; European EN12150-1; Australian standard AS/NZS 2208

Features:

Laminated glass is characterized by transparency, superior mechanical strength, heat resistance, moisture resistance and cold resistance. Compared with common glass, it has superior performance in safety, security, soundinsulation and radiation resistance.

1, Extreme High Safety and Security:

With excellent performance in shock resistance, penetration resistance, wind pressure resistance and strong interlayer adhesion, laminated glass would not lead to bodily injury from splashing glass splinters when it is impacted and broken due to external force; it can withstand the attack of tools, such as hammer and brick. The penetration resistance can be improved by the increasing on the interlayer thickness. The parameter comparison onimpacting resistance parametersis shown as follows:

Glass types

Status of breakage

Laminatedglass

Security breakage: it might be broken by a pendulum impact, but the glass would remain as a whole sheet, and the broken pieces and splinters are adhered firmly to the interlayer.

Annealed glass

Broken easily once it is hit, the typical breakage status is : many elongated sharp splinters come out

Tempered glass

Unbroken unless at the huge impact: glass was broken and burst into numerous particles

Wired glass

Similar with common annealed glass in the status of breakage

Coatedannealed glass

PET film on glass surface can provide additional protection; glass is fragile, and splinters flewtoward the inside when the surface film was separated from the broken glass.

3, Acoustic Insulating Performance

Acoustic insulation is another main feature of laminated glass in addition to security and thermal insulation. In order to create a comfortable living environment, control of noise has become an important issue in modern architecture.

In general, human auditory system can automatically convert the 10 times acoustic intensity into twice acoustic intensity to create human actual feeling. The loudness of sound audible to the human ear is generally presented in decibels (dB). The sound less than 3dB is inaudible and 5 dB is audible to the human ear, and the maximum tolerable loudness of sound is 130dB. Laminated glass controls noise mainly through absorbing noise and degrading sound energy. Noise reduction is generally measured in weighted sound isolation. Table 1-5 shows the weighted sound isolation of various types of laminated glass.

Factors affecting the weighted sound isolation of laminated glass includeglass thickness and acoustic damping of the interlayer of laminated glass. Table 1-5 shows that, with the same glass substrate, the weighted sound isolation of laminated glass varies depending on the thickness of the PVB film, and the thicker the PVB film, the better the acoustic insulation.
