The outdoor aboveground foam hydrant is one of the important units in foam extinguishing system. It is often applied in places where there are large scale of flammable liquid. 

Working principle:

The foam hydrant is mainly consist of flange, cylindrical shell, ball valve, connector and cover. There are installed in preset places and the flange connect with solution supply pipeline. Generally the ball valve is closed and the cover is closed, either. When a fire breaks out, screw off the cover first and then connect the fire hose and finally open the ball valve to convey foam concentrate to foam generator.
