8.   Product description:

(1) Rib lath is a kind of expanded metal lath stiffened with longitude ribs. the furring design of the mesh provide efficient background or construction of partition, suspended ceilings and refurbishment works, the advance of ribbed lath over metal lathing, that is supporting centers, which can be increased or widened.

   Rib lath is ideal for refurbishing those damaged or aged masonry walls. When a key for rendering is not certain, due to disintegration or softening of the wall face, the lath should be fixed with apexes of ribs against the wall, and edge ribs of sheets connected each other; it should be wire-tied every 15cm and ends of sheets be lapped which not less than 2.5mm, and nesting ribs are securely tied together. Stainless steel fixings should be used at sufficient intervals to hold the lath firmly in position.

11. Manufacturing process:

(1) Rib Lath is expanded metal lath stiffened by longitudinal steel ribs, formed in the same sheet of metal.

The mesh areas of the lath are expanded by cutting and stretching in the sheet of metal, the ribs being simultaneously roll-formed.

(1) widely used in tunnels bridges, valve basement systems, sewage systems, subways, retaining walls, nuclear power plants, shipyards, water pools and marine engineering works and high rise building projects and non-regular or bending pattern etc. as concrete permanent assembly-free formwork.
