Specifications
High-frequency welded helical finned tube is a highly efficient heat transfer component, it consists of steel fins wrapped helically around steel pipe, and continuously welded using the high frequency electric current welding process so as to reduce the flow resistance and the metal consumpition, improve the efficiency of heat transfer equipment and operating reliability.
The heat transfer energy is more than 6-10times higher than the bare tubes.
Tube material: seamless steel, carbon steel
Fin Material: Carbon steel; stainless steel
Extruded Finned Tubes are formed from a bimetallic tube consisting of a base tube and an aluminum muff tube. The fins are formed on a cold rolling process from the wall thickness of the aluminum muff tube. Extruded fin gives very good corrosion protection to the base tube, as the base tube is not visible to the atmosphere in between the fins.Tube material: carbon steel ; stainless steel; copper
Fin Material: Aluminum
L Foot Finned tubes
The L fin design is for design temperatures less than 150degree,. This fin offers a certain degree of atmospheric protection of the tube wall against corrosion. The broad contact surface between the tube and the finning enhances heat transfer. This fin design is the most economical.
This fin is created by forming an aluminum strip into an L-shape which is then tension wound around the primary tube. Each L section is positioned against each other to ensure complete tube coverage. Also this manufacturing technology allows the use of relatively thin walled tubes.
Tube material: Any metal
Finned material: Aluminum
L Fin Design temp: <150 degree
Advantages of finned tubes
1. Passive heat exchange with no moving parts
2. Relatively space efficient
3. The cooling or heating equipment size can be reduced in some cases
4. The moisture removel capacity of existing cooling equipment can be improved
5. No cross-contaimination between air streams
6. Integral design minimizing the adverse effects of metal expansion
7. More efficient and therefore more cost effective than other similar solutions.
