Water Repellency Tester is professionally designed for the
determination of the resistance to the passage of simulated rain by
textile fabrics as well as waterproof cloth. The instrument is used to
assess water repellency of fabrics by examining its wetting state on
surface, water absorbed, amount of water penetrated the fabric.
Instrument structure:
The Bundesmann Water Repellency Tester comprises a system of rainulator
and a driving device. The rainulator consists of 300 identical water
drop nozzles and a baffle board. Driving part is a set of 4 testing cups
(specimen holders) with diameter of 10cm. The cup is mounted with the
centerline tilting 15° from the vertical, which comprises of fame and a
cruciform wiper assembly next to specimen. The cups fixed on the driving
device rotate around the center during the test.
