Properties:

• colorless or white acicular crystal;
• be soluble in water (the water solution is alkaline), 
• insoluble in organic solvent; relative density 1.62(20°C);
• melting point 73.3-76.7°C (decomposition); 
• effloresce in dry air, 
• dewatering to anhydrous matter at 100°C (Na3PO4).

Application:

• Used as water softener, 
• cleaning agent in electroplating, 
• boiler cleaner, 
• mental antirusting agent, 
• dyestuff intermediate desiccant, 
• sugar juice purifying agent, 
• photographic developer, 
• coagulating agent of rubber late, 
• color fixer in fabric dyeing 
• flux in enamel ware manufacturing and so on.
