Dioctyl Sebacate is a plasticizer for PVC, and its copolymers, nitrocelluloses, styrene resins and synthetic rubbers where low temperature performance is required. The end applications include anti-frosting cable and PVC linoleum.DOS can be used in cold-resisting cable and wire sheath materials, artificial leather, plastic film, panel, sheet. DOS is non-toxic, TEFs=1000, there is no symptom of poisoning on experiment rat test for DOS intake thus DOS could be used in food packing materials. It can be also used as the cold-resisting plasticizer for synthetic rubber, nitryl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, vinyl chloride copolymer. DOS could be used as lubricating oil for jet engine, too.
