repair strip with CN bonding layer need to be roughened when be bonded to conveyor belt ?


If we don't roughten repair strip , could it be bonded to the damage of conveyor belt?
Almost all people who use repair strip at the first time have this consideration.
To answer this problem , we need to know the function of CN bonding layer firstly.

Ramimtech repair strip with CN bonding layer, such as the image showed, take off  protection film,the blue layer is CN bonding layer , it will be bonded to the damage of conveyor belt. Brush one coat cold vulcanizing adhesive SK811 on it ,vulcanizing reaction will generate between Cn bonding layer and conveyor belt damage area, they will be bonded together,and bonding strength will be improved.

After knowing the function of Cn bonding layer , we get that repair stirp with Cn bonding layer need not to be roughened. The way of which bonding repair strip (with Cn bonding layer) together with cold vulcanizing adhesive is not only easy to operate,but also time saving . Conveyor belt can be back to run after repair. Cut downtime greatly.


When use repair strip with CN bonding layer , we only need brush one coat cold vulcanizing adhesive on the CN bonding layer . and brush two coats on roughened damage area. wait till the adhesive is slight sticky, bonding them together .


As for traditional repair, though it can bond damage area, repair strip  need to be brushed two coats,which will cost long time till the adhesive is sticky when can be bonded. and the repaired area have large probability to  be peeled off or be scratched by scraper.

so we get that repair strip with Cn bonding layer will enhance the bonding strength and it is time saving. and with special fabric reinfoced layer , it will increase wearing coefficient and to prevent repaired area from the secondary damage.
