This gravity separation is much more suitable for the coarse tungsten because wolframite tungsten is of large crystals.
Jiggers and shaking tables are the plants commonly used in wolframite tungsten gravity separation for the coarse & medium embedded tungsten. Screening & classifying is needed before jigging beneficiation. Jigger is usually put into the milling phrase to reduce the pelitization of the tungsten and to recover the liberated tungsten. The tungsten concentrate enriched by jigger accounts over 45% of all concentrate recovered.
Shaking table is mainly used for the ore below 1mm with its high enrichment rate. Strict classifying is necessary before the beneficiation to gain good separation efficiency. Water classifier is used to classify in the beneficiation factories.
