The KICstart software features minimal initial setup and a radically simplified operator interfacethat eliminates tedious board mapping and oven measuring. The software is designed to be completelyintuitive and requires very little training. A series of screens with clear explanatory graphics guides youthrough the profiling process from beginning to end.

 

The KICstart uses different technology to complete its task of running profiles. The main differencebetween it and other profilers is the following:

 

? Air thermocouple – For all profiles run with the KICstart software the thermocouple pluggedinto the first channel on the KICstart must be the Air TC. This TC is positioned 1 inch in front ofthe leading edge of the board for all profiles run using KICstart software.

 

? Trigger temperatures – The KICstart uses trigger temperatures to start and stop the profile. TheStart temperature is defaulted to 2 degrees above the Maximum Product Start temperature. SeeGlobal Preferences for this value.

 

? Hardware Monitor - The combination of the KICstart and the KICstart software closely monitorsthe KICstartbattery, internal temperature and the product temperature even before you start aprofile. There are built-in checks in the software to insure that the product and KICstart are coolenough and battery voltage sufficient to complete a profile safely. As well it will offertroubleshooting suggestions if there is a problem with communication or thermocoupleattachment.

 

? Perfect Data – Through patent pending technology the KICstart is able to get you perfect dataevery time. At the completion of a profile the KICstart retransmits the data it has stored in itsmemory, once the communication cable is connected.
