The Kyrgyz Republic is a mountainous country, of which 80% is covered by imposing mountains. Honey is collected in the Tian-Shan and Pamir-Alai mountain ranges, which produces the most tasteful and aromatic honey. Practically all honey produced throughout Kyrgyz Republic can be referred to as mountain honey.

The primeval nature, favourable climatic conditions, clean mountain air and over 300 sorts of nectariferous plants create ideal conditions for the production of approximately 20 sorts of honey.

Thanks to the unique medicinal and taste properties, Kyrgyz honey is considered the best in the world.

Issyk-Kul honey is collected from bee-gardens on Issyk-Kul lake outskirts, which is rich in motley grass. The honey from Issyk-Kul absorbs medicinal properties found in edelweiss yellow, ashberry, archa, blackberry, barberry, hips, honeysuckle, thyme, melilot, and alpine motley grass.
