In modern measurement filed, linear transformer are widely used especially known as Hall sensor. The advantages of Hall sensor are good output signal and wide testing range etc. , while the drawbacks of Hall sensors are their high distortion degree of small signals and low testing frequency (usually less than 20khz). Current transformer made of nanocrystalline closed-loop cores has a better performance under small current than Hall sensor. The usage frequency of linear transformer can be 100KHz which is 5 times that of Hall sensor. Linear transformer has a considerable advantage in precision measurement system.
