Product description:

Solid CBN insert is produced by CBN powder and bonding material under high temperature and high pressure,with no carbide substrate. It is mainly for machining the material of cast irons,hardened steels,powder metals and so on.

Introduction of PCBN inserts:

PCBN is made by high pressure high temperature sintering of cubic boron nitride with a binder pahase, and there are mainly tow groups of binders, namely metal binder and ceramic binder. CBN and diamond are very similar in crystal structure, chemical bond and lattice parameters, thus they perfotm quite similar hardness and strength,. In cutting applications, the wear resistance of PCBN exceeds 50 times that of tungsten carbide.

Application of PCBN inserts:

PCBN is typically recommended to machine ferrous materials such as hardened steel components over the range 45 to 70HRc and grey cast irons. The material combines high hot hardness, chemical stability and abrasion resistance to provide an effective solution for machining these very different work-piece materials.

Usages of PCBN inserts:

1.PCBN bladesare mainly using in processing of hardened steel whose hardness is of HRC50-60. such as: carbon tool steel, bearing steel, die steel, high-speed steel and so on. It also using in processing of gray cast iron, ductile iron, chilled cast iron, and other high temperature alloy and so on.

 

2.PCD toolsare using in cutting of non-ferrous metals (such as copper, aluminum, magnesium, etc.) and non-metallic materials (such as fiberglass, ceramics, reinforced plastics, etc.)

Products feature:

1.PCBN cutting tools, which also known ascubic boron nitride(CBN) blade, has high hardness and excellent thermal stability.

2.PCBN inserts' cutting temperature can reach 1300°C.

3.PCD tool, also known as polycrystalline diamond blade, has high hardness, excellent wear resistance, low friction coefficient, and excellent thermal conductivity.
