The Application and Advantages of Rod Mill:The discharging granularity of rod mill is evener and the output is higher. It is widely used in the grinding process that has higher requirement for the uniformity of the final products in wear-resisting material, chemistry, and metallurgy and glass industry and in recent years it is also used in the sand making industry.
Features:
The features of rod mill are that in the ore grinding process, the grinding media contact with the ore in a linear manner, so that it has selective grinding function. The granularity of the final products is even, and the amount of the particles that are over crushed and ground is low. When used for coarse grinding, the processing amount of rod mill is higher than that of the ball mill with the same specification.
Working principle:
The electro motor drives the cylinder to rotate through the reduction gears and the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission, or the low speed synchronous motor directly drives the cylinder to rotate through the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission. Inside the cylinder, there are proper ore grinding media-steel rod. Under the eccentric force and frictional force, the ore grinding media are lifted to a certain height and fall down in the state of dropping. The materials to be ground continuously go into the cylinder from the ore feeding mouth and are crushed by the moving grinding media, and then are discharged by the overflow and the force of continuous feeding to go to the next procedure.
