Polycarbonate(PC)Small Corrugated Sheet
The
PC Small Corrugated sheet is mainly made of engineering polycarbonate, UV agent
and other chemical additives by the most advanced technologies and equipment. Maintain
good physical and mechanical properties. It is difficult for our sheet to turn
yellow or aging. It is proven in tests that it can absorb and isolate 99.9% UV
rays.
Features of PC Small Corrugated Sheet
Transmission
Light transmittance up to 80-90%, no yellowing,
fogging or degraded transmittance under the sunshine exposure
Weatherability
The UV-protection co-extrusion layer can prevent
the sheet from fatigue yellowing under the sunshine exposure and maintain the
weatherability for a long time. The co-extrusion layer has a chemical key to
absorb UV rays and convert them into visible lights, stabilizing the plant photosynthesis.
Impact resistance
The impact resistance is 250 times than common
glass and 30 times than organic glass.
Nonflammability
Nonflammability rating B1 in compliance with
GB8624-97, generating molten drop or toxic gas
Temperature resistance
Available within the temperature range from -40℃ to +120℃
Portability
Light weight, merely 1/15 weight of glass in the
same thickness, available for direct cold bending, easy for construction
Sound insulation
Provide the outstanding sound insulation much
better than glass or acrylic sheet in the same thickness. Improve the sound
insulation by 3 to 4 dB, if compared with glass. So, it is the internationally
preferred material of noise barrier along expressways

Precautions for storage, transportation and use of PC Small Corrugated sheet
- Keep away from the wet cement surface, or acidy or alkaline surface
- Keep away from organic solvents as well as glues and paints containing organic solvents
- Keep the frame clean and connections smooth. Usually wipe off the dust or dirt on the PC wave sheet with soft cloth or sponge immersed into mild detergent and rinse the sheet with clean water thoroughly.
- Select the correct thickness and the permissible bending radius.
- Drill holes of retaining screw. The size of hole must be 1.5 times than the diameter of screw. Do not tighten screws too much. Otherwise, it will result in the stress.
- Maintain certain space and pay attention to the insert depth. Expansion value= coefficient of linear expansion x length x max. temperature change (coefficient of linear expansion of PC sheet: 7×10-5mm/mm/℃)
- Use the mild silicon sealant and suitable lining. Do not use PVC material.
- Cut the sheet with electric tool (tungsten carbide saw blade). Fix the sheet to avoid any vibration and maintain the protective film when cutting the sheet.
- When a reference line is required, mark it on the protective film, if possible. If a reference line must be marked directly on the sheet, use the crayon rather than sharp tool.
