Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) is one of the strongest and most durable materials in the world.
FRP Grating, GRP Grating or Composite Grating. FRP Grating originated with United States of America in the 1970's. It is a composite material usually made of an unsaturated polyester resin reinforced with glass fibers. FRP Grating is formed through the one-piece compression molding process, in which continuous interwoven fiberglass reinforcements, such as fiberglass roving and mat, and liquid resin, such as polyester or vinyl ester, are systematically laid in a mold. Finished panel is made up of a specified number of regularly spaced grids, which have identical properties in both vertical and horizontal directions.
