L-Arginine is an ɑ-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. White or almost white
crystalline powder or colorless crystals, freely soluble in water,and practically insoluble in ethanol. It is strongly alkaline, and its water solutions absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Melting temperature at about :235℃
