Usage and application range of Ball mill:

Ball mill is the key equipment which uses to smash material after it is crushed. Ball mill is widely 

used in industries such as cement, silicate products, new building materials, refractory material, 

fertilizer, mineral processing of ferrous metal and  non-ferrous metal, glass ceramics, etc. It can do the dry or 

wet grinding for various kinds of ores and other grind-able materials.

The classification of Ball mill:

Ball mill: overflow ball mill, dry grid ball mill, stirring ball mill, cement ball mill, small ball mill, 

wet grid ball mill and other series of ball mill are widely used in various fields.

Working principle of Ball mill:

This machine is grid ball mill of horizontal cylindrical rotating and gear-driven device, it has two 

hoppers. Materials enter the first hopper evenly through feeding hollow shaft, and the hopper has

 stepped liner plate or corrugated liner plate, there are steel balls of different specification, 

the rotation of cylinder generates centrifugal force to make the steel ball to drop after 

reaching a certain height, and this will have an effect of pounding and grinding on materials.

After rough grinding in the first hopper, the materials will enter second hopper through 

mono-layer partition panel, there is plane liner with steel ball inside to grind material. 

The powder is discharged through grid plate to complete the grinding. 

The structure characteristics of the Ball mill:

The ball mill consists of feeding part, discharging part, rotary part, transmission part

(reducer, small transmission gear, motor, electric control) ,etc. Hollow shaft uses steel casting, 

the lining can be changed, and rotary wheel adopts casting gear processing, there are 

wear-resistant liner plates inside the cylinder. The machine is reliable and runs 

smoothly. You can select dry ball mill or wet ball mill according to the materials and 

discharging methods. Grinding structure refers to liner plate, grate plate, partition plate, 

feeding and discharging devices etc. The liner plate of mill is mainly used to protect the 

cylinder, avoiding direct friction of grinding medium and material on cylinder, and it 

can use different types' liner plates to adjust the state of motion of grinding 

medium inside the cylinder.
