Suspension clamp is used on the insulator suspension string to suspend the conductor, suspension clamps will assembly with armor rod to avoid the conductor damage. conductor size is the most important parameter for a suspension clamp. Suspension clamp for overhead lines is used for connecting the insulator and conductor and supporting the conductors.

Bolted type suspension clamp:
Suspension clamp was used on transmission line and used for the suspension of the insulated messenger in straight lines and at angles up to 90° to connect conductors and insulators. The conductor or cables was fixed on clamp body by U-bolts.

advantage: decrease corona,especially suitable for voltage above 220kv and long distance transmission line or big angle tower 30°-60°
for suspension over head lines, OPGW, ADSS assembly
