Material Dscription of wear resistant Phenolic Fabric strip

Fabric reinforced composites consist of cotton fabric bound with thermoset phenolic resin. Its structure and the ability of the fabric fibres to absorb a certain amount of oil make these phenolic guides almost self-lubricating. However, cotton reinforced phenolic guide rings should not be used at high stroke speeds over 0,5 m/s (1.6 ft/s). They are suitable for medium and heavy duty applications 

Phenolic resin with cotton fabric laminate (PF) is the standard fabric reinforced composite.
