how does CIJ works?
the ECJET INKJET PRINTER  SureStart print head contains an ink drop-generator with a vibrating drive rod.
this creates ultrasonic pressure waves in the inkjet ink, breaking it up into individual droplets. When these droplets fall between a set of electrodes, individual droplets are intermittently charged. The size of the charge given to each droplet determines how far it will be deflected out of the stream when passing through the deflector plates. this determines its placement on the product.
by placing a collection of these droplets close together, a variety of characters are printed as the product passes the print head. Ink droplets not deflected out of the stream are re-circulated to repeat the process. this is a highly efficient use of ink jet ink allowing many millions of characters to be printed from a litre of ink
 
Printhead  1)the print head is supplied with ink by the ink system which the print head forms into a continuous stream of ink drops which recycle to the ink system. When printing is required, drops of ink for printing the message are deflected from the stream out of the print head onto the product, providing a non-contact method of printing. the process is controlled by the electronics module which also stores the messages to be printed. the message is programmed using the keyboard and display.
2)the print head is robustly designed for industrial environments. It is hermetically sealed and is permanently attached to the printer itself by a 2 metre length of conduit.
