WS-3830 drive using the United States dedicated high-performance brushless DC motor driver chip, the controller suitable for driving small and medium-sized brushless DC motor. As a result of the new PWM technology, the motor running speed, low vibration, low noise, smooth operation.

 

 

 

1. Special features

1.1 DC voltage 16VDC-50VDC.

1.2 PWM frequency is not less than 12KHZ.

1.3 The input signal is TTL compatible.

1.4 drive current up to 30A.

1.5 Speed ??display.

1.6 The driver has two kinds of functions, short circuit jumper field W, run after the power-free Hall motor, that Hall can not. The jumper field W is not short-circuited, and the Hall motor is operated after power-on.

1.7 Speed ??open loop or closed loop control. Factory setting is generally open loop. The user may request to set the closed loop maximum speed. Users can also change the maximum closed-loop speed. Closed loop speed changes should be handled by qualified personnel.

Method of operation: disconnect the power, open the lid, to find 1,3,5,9 jumper field. Such as the need for maximum 5000 ring, 5 feet jumper field shorted. And if the maximum 4000-turn loop, you need to 1,3 jumper field shorted. Calculation method: Jumper field is shorted after the cumulative multiplied by 1000, is the maximum closed-loop speed. Control DA end 0V to 5V, can control the closed-loop speed 0 to the maximum speed.

2. Pin Description

2.1 + AT, -AT terminal for the external DC power supply.

2.2 U-side for the motor U-phase.

2.3 V-side for the motor V-phase.

2.4 W end for the motor W phase.

2.5 + 5V terminal for the Hall element power supply.

2.6 GND side of the negative power supply components Hall, that is 0V.

2.7 HALL A is an A-phase Hall element.

2.8 HALL B is a B-phase Hall element.

2.9 HALL C is a C-phase Hall element.

2.10 CW terminal is the motor positive run enable terminal. Active low.

2.11 CCW terminal for the motor reverse run enable side. Active low.

2.12 DA end for the speed end, generally 0-5V, can also be 0-10V.

2.13 BRAKE end is the brake input end, the low level enables.

2.14 PG terminal for the speed feedback output, open collector output, the user should add 3K to 10K pull-up resistor. Whether or not to use is selected by the user.

2.15 ER terminal for the fault output, open collector output. Pass indicates a fault.

2.16 The ACC potentiometer in the drive is for accelerating, acceleration time is from 0. 1 second to 5 seconds.

2.17 Wiring field W short, run the Hall brushless motor. Jumperless field W is not shorted, run without Hall brushless motor.

 

 

 

3. Electrical Characteristics (T j = 25 ° C)

4. Use the environment and parameters

4.1 Cooling method; natural cooling or forced air cooling.

4.3 Temperature; 0 ° C- + 50 ° C.

4.4 Humidity; 40-89% RH.

 

 

 

5. Power supply

DC16V - - DC50V power supply can be between the normal work, the drive can be used non-regulated DC power supply can also be used in step-down transformer + bridge rectifier + capacitor filter, the capacitor is desirable greater than 2200μF. But the attention should be made after the rectified voltage peak ripple does not exceed 60V.

If the use of regulated switching power supply, should pay attention to the switching power supply output current range should be set to greater than 50A.

Please note: 1. The best use of non-regulated power supply;

2. Unregulated power supply, the power supply current output capacity should be greater than 60% of the drive current set. The use of regulated power

Source, should be greater than the drive set current;

3. To reduce the cost, two or three drives can share a power supply. But should increase the power of the rated power and rated output

Current and pay attention to heat.

4. As the current is large, there is no fuse inside the drive, an external 60A fuse.

 

 

 

6. Trouble phenomenon and exclusion:

CW or CCW side low-level start, light-emitting tube from bright to about a second, the drive is running, LED light.

Lack of phase: LED once shining a long dark, check the Hall signal.

Stall: LED five times shining a long dark. Check the Hall signal, check whether the load stuck. Motor line for short circuit.

Overcurrent: LED three times shining a long dark. Check the Hall signal, check whether the load stuck. Motor line for short circuit.

Low voltage: LED seven times shining a long dark. Check the supply voltage.

After the start does not turn: LED six shiny once dark. Check that the wiring is correct.
