Overview

this machine is specially designed for three pin shaft--tripod spider shape work pieces.

Three pin shaft, also known as trident universal joint, C.V. Joint, or bearing rack, is an important component of universal drive device. It is used in car steering system, and the application is increasing.

 

 

 

According to the cross section, it can be divided into spherical, circular, elliptical and so on. KSHS now have experience of spherical and circular ones, don't have elliptical ones grinding experience.

 

 

Three pin shaft is used with needle roller bearings.

 

 

Equipments instructions

1. Grinding wheels

Use corundum grinding wheel.the outer circle shape matches the pin shaft.Generally processing 4 workpieces (12 pins) trim once, time is a few seconds.

 

Grinding wheel edge is not normal cylindrical shape--according to shape of shaft pin , made into various shapes.

 

2. Dressing wheel

There are two kinds of dressing wheels.

1) Shaping dressing roller-- the dressing tool is made to corresponding shape of the corundum grinding wheel, with high efficiency and precision.

2)Dish type dressing wheel: dresser is made into a dish. When dressing, the corundum grinding wheel is dressed according to NC control track, with a little slower  efficiency and high precision too.

 

3. Operation system

 

Use Yaskawa operation system.

PLC control panel operation, call the program directly when changing workpiece model.

Efficiency

1. Normal circle section: 0.25mm machining allowance, 50 seconds/piece;

 

2. Oval section: 0.25mm machining allowance, 65 seconds/piece;

(such products are the hardest to process, and procedures are key.)
