Introduction
Propylene glycol alginate(PGA) is extracted from nature brown seaweed. It is of white or flaxen powder. Compared to alginate, PGA has better resistance against acid and salts.
Application
1 as thickener, emulsifier and stabilizer, it is widely used in food industry;
2 with hydration, anti-aging and tissue improving properties, PGA is widely used in bakery and flour products;
3 PGA has good acid-proof property, so it can be used in condition of PH at 3-5;
4 PGA has strong foaming and emulsifying ability. It is widely used in yoghurt, flavoring and beer foam.
