in production of Zn-Br Flow Battery, membrane separator is a kind of porous membrane which can offer barrier between the positive and negative, and prevent short circuit of theopposite electrodes. as one of the key techonology in Zn-Br flow batteries, microporous membrane is monopolized by very few companies and the price is very high.

We develop novel type of membrane separators made of Polyolefin resin. In addition to permeable to ionic flow, Bromine complex with large volume can be blocked at other side of membrane. Positive electrolyte and negative electrolyte are separated to prevent self discharge and low current efficiency of flow batteries.
