These miniature over-moulded reed switches use low amounts of power and have no power requirement when in standby. They are able to operate through non-ferrous materials including wood, plastic and aluminium. These units are hermetically sealed and with magnetically operated contacts they are highly resilient to contamination. Even operating in conditions long after optical and other technology reed switches would have failed.
