Specifications

The 2002 offers measurement technology which makes them attractive options to higher-priced, high-end digital multimeters. Other 8-digit DMMs may average multiple readings to extend their resolution. The resolution specifications of the 2002 is based on a 28-bit A/D converter that provides the resolution needed to discern smaller changes. The higher resolution provides greater dynamic range, enabling measurement from 1 μV to 20 V on a single range and avoiding range-shift errors and delays. It is an ideal instrument for production test applications that demand high precision. The 202 has many built-in measurements that are normally unavailable in similar instruments, these include in-circuit current, temperature with thermocouples or RTDs and peak spikes. In addition, this instrument offers extended DCV and resistance measurement capabilities.
With the 202, there is no need for an oscilloscope to determine if the crest factor is acceptable, the digital multimeter measures it directly.

True 8 1/2 (2002) digit resolution
Measurement integrity with high speed
High-speed function and range changing
Broad range of built-in measurement functions includes in-circuit current, temperature with thermocouples or RDTs, peak spikes
Resistance measuring range 20 Ω → 1 GΩ
Frequency measuring range 1 Hz → 15 MHz
Multiple measurement display
GPIB interface
8K Memory
Faster Triggering
Single-phase method for 4-wire resistance eliminates errors due to changing lead resistances that can result from fast test handlers and makes the Model 2002 twice as fast for a given power line cycle rate
Built-in peak detector operates up to 1MHz for repetitive signals or down to 1μs for a single spike
More than 2000 readings/second at 4-digit resolution; at 7-digits it maintains full rated accuracy at up to 44 readings/second on DCV and ohms.
