Specifications
Scotch? Rubber Splicing Tape 23 is a highly conformable 0.76 mm thick, self-amalgamating EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) base for rubber splicing. It is designed to splice and terminate cables with overload temperatures of 266 degrees F(130 degree C), due to dissipating heat affectively. The snakeskin liner is easily removed when applying the tape, to allow the self-fusing ethylene propylene rubber, high insulating voltage tape.
Self-amalgamating tapes made from an insulating elastomer, usable at low, medium and high voltages.
The layers amalgamate into a homogeneous mass after application.
Applications: reconstitution of insulating cable up to 69 kV, replacing soldering, metal braids on lead sheathing, making waterproof joints.
