The C.A. 7028 is a cabling tester able to identify the faults on computer and voice networks.
Location and identification of faults at up to 150 metres (or 500 ft): cut pairs, short circuits, crossed or separated circuits, short circuits between pairs, inversions of pairs and continuity of shielding/screen; failures at the end of the connection or the installed site.
Backlit alphanumeric 128 x 64-pixel LDC display to provide clear display of the nature of the problem and its length.
Remote identifications of the C.A. 7028 indicate the end of a test to the remote operator and its success/failure condition.
The device is supplied with an identifier bearing the number 1. Using additional identifiers (ranged from "2" to "9"), the C.A. 7029 can test and identify up to 10 connections from the distribution panel.
