Specifications
This APEM 7000 series inductive joystick is robust and features a high degree of environmental protection. Employing a contactless, inductive sensing system, the 7000 series inductive joystick is ideal for conditions where a long service life and fail-tosafe are required.
This joystick employs two extra features in addition to the conventional outputs. It is equipped with dual decode technology providing fault and centre detect. They are combined into one single output which rests at 0 V when in the centre position. When the joystick is moved, it then provides + V through the output. In the unlikely event of a fault, the unit automatically returns to 0 V no matter what the location of the lever. This feature can then be incorporated into the control system to induce a "Fail to Safe" state.
Fully proportional dual axis joystick
Extremely robust mechanics with mounting bezel plate
Type Q handle with vinyl gaiter gives IP65 above panel protection
Dual decode and "off centre" control signals for fail-safe applications
High EMC immunity
Contactless sensing
Supply Voltage of 4.7 V to 15 V
Output Impedance of 1.8 kΩ ±1%
Signal Ripple of <1% of="" output="">1%>
Supply Current is 10 mA (typically)
Shaft is 5 mm (nominal) stainless steel
Shaft Travel of ±18°
Operating Temperature of -25 to +55°C
Housing Material of ABS (reinforced)
