With positive push/pull mating, requiring no specialist assembly skills, these connectors lend themselves to harsh environments. Designed primarily for automotive use, the one piece moulded halves have discrete individual wire seals and two intermating seals offering a high resistance to fluid ingress, thus also making them suitable for many other common applications.
They are supplied in kit form with both mating half connectors and two sets of ’poke home’ crimp contacts which allow maintenance or re-termination. The rear end of these connectors features a ridge to take a heatshrink boot. For heatshrink boots see stock no. 239-1386 later in this section.
