Battery powered programmable room thermostat intended to be fitted wherever a conventional room thermostat would normally be sited. The controller uses 868MHz radio frequency signals to communicate with the receiver, thereby controlling the boiler according to the customer’s time & temperature settings. The 868MHz band is newly licensed for low-power domestic control systems, and is very secure against interference or accidental operation. Adjacent installations will not be in conflict, because each commissioned control set initiates a unique address. The receiver is a wall-mounted device, with volt-free changeover contacts, and requires a 230v 50Hz mains supply. The receiver can either be fitted in place of, and connected to, existing room-thermostat wiring, or it can be installed immediately adjacent to the boiler.
