The Schneider Electric XPS-ATE range of safety modules have been created and designed to be used for monitoring emergency stop circuits. They provide protection for both machines and operators through immediately stopping the dangerous movement on receipt of a stop instruction or if a fault is detected within the circuit.
2 N/O instantaneous outputs provide stop category 0, 3 N/O timed contacts provide stop category 1 by allowing controlled deceleration of the motor until a complete stop is achieved
4 solid state outputs for PLC signalling
Monitored start button feature
Delay time: 0 – 30 s. adjustable in 12 steps by using the selector switch in the module front cover
Provides protection for machine and operator by immediately stopping dangerous movement on receipt of a stop instruction from operator, or on detection of a fault in the safety circuit. Applications include safety mats, safety edges, e-stop and safety gates
2 channel monitoring and feedback loop
Shorts across contacts, between channels and ground monitored
Voltage on input channels: 48Vdc
4 LEDs to indicate control supply/fuse, input channel A and B, stop Cat. 1 outputs closed
Internal electronic fuse for input channels reset on removal of fault
Synchronisation time between input A and B when using automatic start feature = 75ms approx
