Specifications

FH28 0.5 mm ZIF (zero insertion force) FPC/FFC connectors with a robust, ruggedized design. These FH28 FPC/FFC connectors have a robust flip lock actuator which is supported either end of the connector by reinforced metal fittings. The actuator is held down by a hook at each contact point along its whole length ensuring a secure connection and preventing the actuator from disengaging. When the actuator is fully closed, it produces a tactile click to confirm it is firmly locked in place. These FH28 FPC/FFC connectors feature side catches for use with tabbed FPC. The positioning tabs on the FPC slot inside these catches allowing it to be accurately aligned and positioned. When the actuator is locked down the tabs act as a strain relief and increase the retention force of the FPC. These FH28 FPC/FFC connectors can also be used with straight sided or non-tabbed FPC. The bottom of these FPC/FFC connectors is solid and the contacts are not exposed allowing the connector to be mounted over conductive traces on the PCB.
These FH28 0.5 mm ZIF FPC/FFC connectors accept a standard 0.3 mm thick FPC/FCC
FH28E and FH28H FPC/FFC connectors have a metal fitting that extends further out from housings edge for manual soldering
FH28H FPC/FFC connectors have a narrower, space saving actuator
• Robust design
• Reinforced flip-lock actuator for easy FPC/FFC insertion and secure retention
• Tactile click confirms full closure of actuator
• Side catches for increased tabbed FPC/FFC retention
• Enclosed design enables mounting over conductive traces on the PCB
