Specifications

Wire to board SMT IDC connectors with a PCB space saving ultra-low profile microminiature design for reliable, cost effective and user-friendly termination of discrete wires. These microminiature connectors have dual IDC contacts that provide a gas tight permanent electrical connection. The wire is inserted into the contact element guided by the connector cap which also acts as a strain relief. The IDC contact has guiding latches for an accurate connection and detents to ensure a secure hold. The use of IDC contacts eliminates the requirement for wire preparation before insertion and the need for special tooling. Hand soldering is also unnecessary making this SMT microminiature connector both cost effective and simple to use.
These wire to board SMT IDC connectors are available with a wire stop feature and as feed through versions which are suitable for daisy chaining.
