The decoction of its dried root exhibited inhibitory action against isolated and in vivo toad heart and lowered the blood pressure of anesthetized rabbits and dogs, while showed contractility action on isolated rabbit ear and toad blood vessels. Actions and Indications: The drug is used as hemopoitic, bloodactivator, antirheumatic; for the treatment of appendicitis, menstrual disor- der, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, rheumatic arthralgia, traumatic swelling and pain.
