Quick Details
Specifications
The Xtra-Guard 4 range of extreme temperature cable from Alpha Wire is a high-performance TPE cable providing excellent flexibility. The Xtra-Guard 4 cable benefits from a thermoplastic elastomer jacket and insulation which makes it extremely durable and enables it to be three times more flexible than PVC at low or high temperatures.
The temperature range of the TPE cable extends from -50°C to +125°C making it ideal for use in extreme environments.
The jacket of the cable is available in several different colours to help with colour coding and easy identification.
Where Supra-Shield is specified against the cable, there is protection against EMI (electromagnetic interference).
FIT Heatshrink tubing recommendations: FIT-400 and FIT-600
Features and Benefits
· Temperature range from -50°C to +125°C
· High-performing TPE insulation and jacket offering three times the low-temperature and high-temperature flexibility of ordinary PVC

· Selection of jacket colours
· UL Rated TC 600 V and PLTC 300 V for cable tray applications (except 24 AWG)
· Pennsylvania Bureau Deep Mining Safety approved for mine-wide monitoring systems
· Good oil, water and chemical resistance
· Abrasion resistant
· Protected against EMI interference with Supra-Shield
Product Application Information
The features of the Xtra-Guard 4 range of cables allow it to be used as a control cable in many industries including the paper, mining, food and beverage, petrochemical, pipeline and military applications.
The Xtra-Guard 4 cable has been approved by the Pennsylvania Bureau for deep mining which proves how during the cable is. It can also be used for power applications involving solar and wind.
The military constantly requires new and innovative electronic devices so having the correct cabling is essential. The Xtra-Guard 4 range of cables allows you to create the critical connections that are required to deliver reliability and high performance.
The Xtra-Guard 4 range is not recommended for high flex or continuous flex.
