FunctionMAX FX10 0.5 mm high-speed 15+Gbit/s SMT board to board stacking connectors designed to meet requirements of the industrial market with maximum functionality. The FunctionMAX FX10 connector provides an electrical interface for the OIF 100G Long-Haul DWDM Transmission Module (MSA-100GLH). These FX10 stacking connectors feature a ground plate that fits on both sides of the header and receptacle connector enhancing grounding capability and improving signal transmission. The grounding plate also incorporates SMT terminals that mount directly on to the PCB. Metal mounting fittings at either end of the connector help to increase PCB retention and provide extra solder weld strength. These metal fittings are connected to the ground plate for a stronger ground. The signal and ground contacts of these FX10 0.5 mm stacking connectors are arranged in a 10:1 ratio which stabilises the grounding and reduces crosstalk. Versions of these FX10 0.5 mm stacking connectors are also available with guideposts that help secure the connector to the PCB.
