What is Prilocaina powder?
Prilocaina is an amide local anesthetic. Its intensity and speed are similar to lidocaina, but it lasts longer and has a weaker effect on vasodilation. The toxicity is lower than that of lidoca. Function of Prilocaina Powder
[Pharmacology] the local anesthetic effect of its 3% solution is equivalent to that of 2% lidocaina plus epinephrina,it has a slower onset, about 6 to 7 minutes, and a maintenance time of about 1.5 to 2 hours. It has strong mucosal penetration. Adrenalinea slightly prolongs its action time. PPB is 55%, T1/2 is about 1.5h. Metabolism in the liver, its metabolite nitrosotoluidina can oxidize hemoglobin to form methemoglobin. Can be transported to the fetus through the placenta.
