PP-r drinking water pipe system is a new type of product widely used in developed countries in the world. It uses homogeneity fusion technology in cold and hot water transportation engineering. Its comprehensive technical performance and economic indicators are far better than other similar products, especially its excellent health performance. the product has the advantages of heat resistance, pressure resistance, heat preservation and energy saving, long service life and economy, etc.
Polypropylene tubes are divided into homopolymer polypropylene (PP-H), block copolymer polypropylene (PP-B) and atactic polypropylene (PP-R). the stiffness of PP-H, PP-B and PP-R pipes decreases in turn, while the impact strength increases in turn. Polypropylene pipes for water supply are made of special PP-R. as a new type of pipe, PP-R pipe has the following characteristics:
1) the production energy consumption of energy-saving PP-R tube is only 20% of that of steel tube, and its thermal conductivity [0.2W/(m.K)] is only 1/200 of that of steel tube. 2) Corrosion resistance, no scaling, health, non-toxic use of PP-R pipe can be removed from the use of galvanized steel pipe caused by the inner wall scaling, rust caused by water quality "secondary pollution". Because PP-R components are simple, the basic ingredients are carbon and hydrogen, in line with food hygiene regulations, non-toxic, more suitable for drinking water transportation.
3) Heat resistance, pressure resistance, long service life PP-R pipe long-term service temperature up to 95℃, short-term service temperature up to 120℃. the service temperature is 70℃, the working pressure is 1.2mpa, the long-term continuous use, the life can reach more than 50 years.
4) Lightweight, high strength, small fluid resistance PP-R tube density is only 1/8 of the metal tube, pressure test strength up to 5MPa, and good toughness, impact resistance. Because the inner wall is smooth, no rust, no scaling, fluid resistance is small. the main technical indicators of PP-R tube are as follows: Density 0.9g /cm3 Elastic modulus (20℃) 800MPa Thermal expansion coefficient 1.8 10-4/K Thermal conductivity 0.2W/(m.K) Longitudinal shrinkage 2% Impact test damage rate ≤10% Hydraulic test short-term 1h, ring stress 16MPa no leakage long-term 95℃, 1000h, Ring stress 3.5mpa no leakage Table 1 shows the performance comparison of several materials.
