Adamite is a hardenable alloy that allows a bainitic microstructure to be produced in the roll sections, providing a high strength matrix. the matrix slows down the crack initiation and propagation, which gives rise to a high resistance to spalling and the best properties against fire-cracks. Adamite rolls used for the front finishing stands of section mill and hot strip mill, the roughing and intermediate stand of bar and  wire mill.
