Β-Alanine(or beta-alanine) is a naturally occurring beta amino acid, which is an amino acid in which the amino group is at the β-position from the carboxylate group. the IUPAC name for β-alanine is 3-aminopropanoic acid. Unlike its counterpart α-alanine, β-alanine has no stereocenter. Beta-Alanine is the basic unit of protein and one of the 20 amino acids that make up human proteins. Beta-Alanine has a certain anti-oxidation effect, which can not be neglected in cell metabolism, promotion of collagen growth, anti-inflammatory, etc., and can be used as anti-wrinkle of skin.
